How it All Started

Plain & simple, we were ready to stop working. We also wanted to travel. But we could not realistically do both so we made a drastic decision. Sell EVERYTHING we own, add the proceeds to our small retirement savings and travel slowly. Extending our stays will allow us to save money on accommodations. We found out that renting apartments, condos, or AirBnBs long-term, meaning 1-3 months or more, is much less expensive than short-term hotel stays. Also, we can take our time exploring a place rather than cramming all of the sight-seeing into a 1 or 2 week vacation that took us a year or more to save up for, and leaves us even more exhausted once we return home-to work, and start the cycle all over again. We were tired of living that way. We are now taking time to soak in the food, the culture, and the everyday magic of each place we visit. We have worked hard, and now we are ready to ROAM, and we hope to inspire others to do the same. We’re excited to take you along with us!

Meet Ken

Hello all! After years of putting in the work- the long hours, the hustle and the grind, I’m finally retired and I’m ready to see the world. I don’t wan’t to rush. I want to travel slowly so that I can truly LIVE every moment, and I’m looking forward to sharing those moments with you.

Meet Diane

Hey there, everyone! All my life I’ve enjoyed traveling. From super fun family road trips to exciting flights away for 1-2 week vacations, I’m always looking forward to the next scheduled adventure. When we made this decision to slow-travel, I hadn’t quite reached retirement age. Frankly, retiring early was a scary decision for me to make. But I have no regrets. Come along with us and lets get Ready to ROAM!
