Boquete

Boquete is located in the Province of Chiriqui on the western coast of Panama.

We recently spent a short time in the beautiful El Santuario EcoLodge high in the hills of the Los Naranjos district which is about a 5 minute drive outside of Boquete proper. We were there on a scouting trip to see if Boquete is a place we’d like to consider staying for 3 months as we continue our slow travel journey.

The place was so incredibly beautiful, quiet, and peaceful! We had an amazing break from the loud, hustle and bustle of Panama City. It’s reported that approximately 20% of Boquete’s population is made up of expats! Are we coming back for a 3 month stay (or longer) in this amazingly gorgeous town?
