So Much Gratitude

It all begins with a dream, maybe A Million Dreams? Like a lot of people, we have dreamed about traveling the world. We were both working hard to save up for that next one week vacation. Honestly, it was challenging to wait all year long, sometimes two years; so that we could do something BIG. So we often took extended weekend camping trips around our beautiful state of Washington. Trust me, the beauty of Washington State never disappoints.

But as the economy was changing rather quickly, and we were reaching retirement age, it was time to put some stiff reality into the mix. We realized it was getting harder to save for something big while living affordably. Grocery costs were through the roof, the price of gas was creeping higher and higher, our mortgage was $3600 per month, and we were both tired of our jobs. Ken had already retired from the Military, but had been working a civilian job ever since and I was working full time as well. Our dream of going into full retirement while traveling would not be sustainable. After a years’ worth of research and planning, we decided to sell EVERYTHING and begin to Roam!

Of course, there were some challenges, but we had a million dreams about retiring and traveling, and it was time to ignite those dreams. We are so grateful to each other for being on the same page at the same time and both being commited to making this work.

We absolutely love sharing our stories and would love nothing more than to inspire others to let go of status quo-and LIVE the one life you have to the fullest sooner rather than later.
